C & A Scientific has been manufacturing and distributing professional research and student microscopes for twenty years. Years ago we would receive calls from local parents looking for a "real" microscope as a gift for their child, usually an adolescent or teen. These consumers were looking for a true scientific instrument, not a plastic toy, and they were unable to find it in traditional stores.

 Microscope (Model MFL-02) was designed to fill this gap in the retail market. Most microscopes in the same price range come with a mirror. These can be very hard to use; you have to bounce the light just right. Ours just plugs into the wall and the built-in light is perfectly aligned. This scope is made with real glass optics, not plastic lenses. It's also built with a sturdy, all metal construction. This makes it look and feel like a real microscope, not a cheap toy. The microscope comes with 5 prepared slides so it is ready to use out-of-the-box. Add the Accessory Kit containing blank slides, cover glass, a few tools and a box for storing slides along with helpful hints and suggestions for preparing simple mounts.
